UNICEF and Kosovo CSR Network organize a round table that enables private sector power to be used in the wellbeing for children and youth

Today, on August 30, 2018, Kosovo CSR Network together with UNICEF organized a round table with directors and owners of distinguished Kosovo businesses / organizations to identify and discuss ideas and ways of investing and supporting children and youth from the private sector. This event was organized after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between UNICEF and the CSR Kosovo at the beginning of this month, where these two organizations agreed to work together to identify the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the Nations United, to co-operate towards strengthening the country's youth and promoting volunteering in Kosovo.

During the round table, leading prominent organizations showed their views, including: Dr. Brandao Co, Head of UNICEF Office in Kosovo, Arian Zeka, Deputy Chairman of the Kosovo CSR Network Board, Mrs. Linda Tahiri Rukiqi, Executive Director of CSR Kosovo and also moderator of this roundtable, welcomed the interest of attendees to contribute to responsible activities towards society, and said she hopes other companies operating in Kosovo will be ready to embrace innovative and accountable ideas that contribute to a more sustainable development. She added that with the onset of this cooperation, CSR Kosovo agreed to contribute to the UNICEF mission and jointly work to increase stability and prosperity in the country.

 

This roundtable was an opportunity to interact with business leaders and owners to identify potential areas of cooperation with the private sector to support the UNICEF mission and use of business power for the benefit of Kosovo's children and youth.
